To put that in perspective, he is currently ‘only’ the 31st fastest man in history over 5,000 and the 15th over 10,000 – the two events in which he took gold at last year’s Olympics. Of course he is capable of running much quicker than his personal bests in his specialist events, could probably challenge for a top-three spot at the World Championships here in Moscow in the 1500m, but at the moment what matters most to him – and rightly so – is winning more gold.
