National Museum of Korea
The basic concept of the new museum is to reinterpret the traditional architectural spirit of
Korea in a contemporary way. There is an open plaza between the two buildings, which look like
one majestic building. The open plaza symbolizes "maru" (wooden floor), a unique architectural
space of Korea. Open to all visitors, it is a wonderful place to start your exploration of Korean culture and history.
